Dream of flying, piloting an aircraft, or exploring the skies? Felixstowe Youth Aviation Club gives young people the chance to learn real aviation skills through exciting hands-on activities, simulators, and even real flights — all in a fun, supportive environment. 🚀✈️

Our exciting hands-on sessions will include:

Flight Simulators

Learn how to take off, fly, and land an aircraft using realistic flight simulators.

How Planes Fly

Discover the basics of aerodynamics — how wings create lift and what keeps aircraft in the air.

 

Navigation & Flight Planning

Learn how pilots know where they are and where they’re going, using maps, headings, and instruments.

Radio Communication

Practice talking like a real pilot using aviation radio phraseology and simulated air-traffic control.

 

Real Flying Experience

Each term, children will have the opportunity to fly a real aircraft with a qualified instructor, giving them true hands-on aviation experience.

(These flight sessions are optional and charged separately.)

All of our cadets will leave with a certificate from passing each stage of their journey putting them in a great position to start their PPL when that day comes.
